In 2019 I made a huge stride to read more self-development books. Whenever I am reading I tend to care more about myself and others. Taking the time to focus on how to be the best version of myself really helped me to stay focused on my goals. Over the year I read/listened to over 50 books. Here are my top 5 self-development books I read in 2019. I also go more in-depth in an episode of the CreativePod.
Don’t Keep Your Day Job was an amazing book I dove into this year. I am a huge fan of Cathy Heller and her amazing podcast. I was so excited about this book that I pre-ordered it. It did not let me down and really got me excited to stay focused on my creative business and to one day quit my day job!
You are a badass is one of my favorite books of all time. I listened to this book three times in 2019 and I plan on listening to it three more times in 2020. Jen Sincero has a way to light a fire underneath my badass.
Girl, Stop Apologizing is a must-have in your Audible library. Pretty much anything Rachel Hollis is a must-have. I just purchased her journal and planner and I now feel like I just need to go back and listen to this gem again!
Pitch Anything, was an amazing and easy read in 2019. If you are in sales or are in a business of speaking to people I highly recommend this book. This self-development book really opened my eyes to pitching sales to my consumers.
I hope you find a new book to read for the new year. I really find it necessary to be focusing on self-development at any time of the year. With everyone finding new goals I figured what would be a better time than now to share my list. Make sure to subscribe to the CreativePod.
